Default Car Dealership

Whitmore Chevrolet in West Point. If you like to sit on your hands and drag your feet, then this is the dealership for you.

Went in there yesterday with check in hand wanting to purchase 2 trucks for the company. The sales guy was captain slow (and I needed to seal the deal by Friday) tells me that he cannot call another dealership to see if they have one of the trucks in stock, he has to fax over a request. WTF is that?!?!?! It is 2009 ya dolt! Fax it over, then pick up the phone. Well, he didn't want to do that, so off I walked. Get a call from him later in the afternoon saying that the trucks are available and need the financial form filled out. That's fine, he sent it to me, I filled it out and faxed it back, then called to make certain he got the fax. Now, cannot find out till Friday, because banks are closed (3:30pm was the current time).

Calls me up this morning at 9:30 am and says I missed some info...WhyTF didn't he mention that yesterday?!?!?! Fine, fill it out, refax, recall and tell him he has till 1030am to get me an answer....alas he calls back and 10am and says he cannot get an answer by that time. Fine...your dealership just lost $91,000.

What The Fark.

It is amazing that some dealerships you walk into and they are grabbing for your wallet, others don't give a damn if they sell something or not. Anyways, I would not, will not, and do not recommend dealing with Whitmore Chevrolet in West Point VA or sales guy Dick Goyne

No car dealership is turning away business right now. I'm in sales and it sickens me that tools like that share the same professional lable. I guess lawyers have similar issues.

It is a low margin business and attracts the bottom of the tank.

Shame you can't just order from Chevrolet.com and have the trucks delivered.

That would be such a good win for Detroit.

thats the reason why GM is going under, i deal with lots of dealerships (i own a body) so i buy lots of parts. Maybe its just coincidence but every time i call a GM parts guy they are always dicks, as if they are doing me a favor if i buy from them.
